         Would you really be happy in heaven?

Picture yourself entering into the heavenly gates, beauty unimaginable, glorious. You find yourself in the presence of the Almighty Yahweh, Yehashua, (Jesus) and an endless retinue of angels and noble beings from un-fallen worlds. You gasp as you walk on streets of gold. However there is one catch. You still have the same nature you had on earth.

You think you would be happy in this place, how could you not be?

Would you really want to spend eternity in paradise, while still in your natural state, your carnal thoughts still traveling through the synapses of your nerve fibers?

Your blood starts boiling with uncontrollable lusts for the angels and there noble statures, a lust that you know will never be quenched in the way that you desire.

You feel small and diminutive. You see Adam, whose height is probably 20 to 25 feet. His appearance is regal, royal, and majestic. You now begin to envy him. You feel robbed deprived you want what Adam has. You behold Eve the mother of all the living her beauty is unmatched. Your blood boils with uncontrollable desire as you consider her perfect form.

“Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die”, is a very common quote nowadays. This is usually stated in a casual jest like manner; however we will take a serious look here. Let’s compare the culture of heaven to the one that exists down here on earth.

IN HEAVEN ALL CREATURES DELIGHT IN PRAISING YAHWEH:

REV 19:5   AND A VOICE CAME OUT OF THE THRONE, SAYING, PRAISE OUR GOD, ALL YE HIS SERVANTS, AND YE THAT FEAR HIM, BOTH SMALL AND GREAT.  

All of heaven will sing the praises to God continuously, the rapture, the song, beauty and virtue unimagined, the atmosphere will be filled with splendor that cannot be described by human tongue. This may sound wonderful to you now but in actuality to the unconverted and carnal heart this will be torture. The hard selfish heart would find the unremitting   praises and song agonizing. The self loving narcissistic character would long for death because the focus would not be on him

IN HEAVEN ALL CREATURES OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD:

ISA 48:11   FOR MINE OWN SAKE, [EVEN] FOR MINE OWN SAKE, WILL I DO [IT]: FOR HOW SHOULD [MY NAME] BE POLLUTED? AND I WILL NOT GIVE MY GLORY UNTO ANOTHER. 

 ISA 48:12  HEARKEN UNTO ME, O JACOB AND ISRAEL, MY CALLED; I [AM] HE; I [AM] THE FIRST, I ALSO [AM] THE LAST. 

 ISA 48:13   MINE HAND ALSO HATH LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND MY RIGHT HAND HATH SPANNED THE HEAVENS: [WHEN] I CALL UNTO THEM, THEY STAND UP TOGETHER. 

The unconverted heart is naturally disobedient it is not capable of righteousness or holiness.

ROM 8:7 BECAUSE THE CARNAL MIND [IS] ENMITY AGAINST GOD: FOR IT IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE LAW OF GOD, NEITHER INDEED CAN BE.

IN HEAVEN EVERYONE LOVES RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATES EVIL:

JHN 3:16   FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

 

 JHN 3:17   FOR GOD SENT NOT HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD; BUT THAT THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED. 

 JHN 3:18   HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED: BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. 

 JHN 3:19   AND THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION, THAT LIGHT IS COME INTO THE WORLD, AND MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT, BECAUSE THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL. 

 JHN 3:20   FOR EVERY ONE THAT DOETH EVIL HATETH THE LIGHT, NEITHER COMETH TO THE LIGHT, LEST HIS DEEDS SHOULD BE REPROVED.

 

 JHN 3:21   BUT HE THAT DOETH TRUTH COMETH TO THE LIGHT, THAT HIS DEEDS MAY BE MADE MANIFEST, THAT THEY ARE WROUGHT IN GOD. 

 Many people will read this and say that this doesn’t apply to me, I will appreciate the wonders of heaven and will long to be there. I long for my change to come, because I’m ready now.

The biggest lie that is implied in religious services throughout the world is the belief that God will instantaneously change a man’s heart during the resurrection. They believe that they play no role in their own conversion, other than saying with their lips that they believe. That is all they feel is necessary for salvation.  If your heart still longs for worldly effects you will hate heaven. You will take a jack-hammer to the streets of gold. Your greedy unconverted nature will try to rend the pearls and precious stones from the gates of the New Jerusalem.

We all must humbly accept the fact that our natures must be changed in order to enjoy paradise. Philippians 2:5 states:

PHL 2:5 LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU, WHICH WAS ALSO IN CHRIST JESUS:

You must renew your mind, and character in order to be happy in paradise. The entire atmosphere will be totally foreign to our fallen nature. We are too used to murder, adultery, fornication, robbery, strife, and controversy. Too many of us deep down HATE peace. That is why drug abuse is so rampant because we prefer to be in an altered state in order to avoid any semblance of quiet and tranquility. Psalms 46:10 states that it is this quietness that allows us the opportunity to know God on a deeper level.

PSA 46:10   BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT I [AM] GOD: I WILL BE EXALTED AMONG THE HEATHEN, I WILL BE EXALTED IN THE EARTH.

If you cannot allow your mind to meditate on holy things now, heaven will drive you insane. You will long for death and separation from the ALMIGHTY, just as Satan did.
