DAYS OF THE GENTILES; WHAT WE MUST ENDURE
DAYS OF THE GENTILES
WHAT WE MUST ENDURE
1. The Body — The Gate of Compromise
Defilement usually begins with the body, the place where behavior becomes habit.
When actions that violate Yahuah’s order become normalized, the body stops resisting corruption.
Examples in Scripture:
Sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18–19)
Idolatry and ritual corruption (Leviticus 18)
Violence and bloodshed (Genesis 6:11)
📖 1 Corinthians 3:16–17
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God…
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.”
The body was designed to be a temple.
When the temple becomes polluted, the foundation of spiritual order is weakened.
2. The Soul — Confusion of Truth
Once corruption becomes normalized in behavior, it reshapes the mind and emotions.
The soul becomes confused:
Truth becomes relative
Sin becomes acceptable
Conviction becomes inconvenient
This is how civilizations collapse morally.
📖 Isaiah 5:20
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil…”
At this stage:
conscience dulls
wisdom fades
deception spreads easily
The soul begins rewriting reality to justify corruption.
3. The Spirit — The Withdrawal of PresenceI
The deepest consequence of defilement is spiritual displacement.
Yahuah does not dwell where corruption is enthroned.
📖 Genesis 6:3
“My Spirit shall not always strive with man.”
Before the Flood, humanity became so corrupted that the divine striving withdrew.
This is the most dangerous moment.
Because emptiness never stays empty.
4. Vacancy Invites Occupation
When divine presence withdraws, something else fills the space.
This is why Scripture repeatedly warns about unclean spirits inhabiting empty vessels.
📖 Matthew 12:43–45
“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man… he findeth the house empty…
then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself.”
A person or society without divine presence becomes spiritually occupied territory.
5. Desolation — The Final Stage
When corruption is complete and presence has departed, the result is desolation.
Biblically, desolation means:
spiritual abandonment
moral collapse
societal decay
judgment approaching
📖 Daniel 9:27
“The abomination that maketh desolate.”
The word desolate literally implies:
emptied
abandoned
lifeless
Just like a ruined temple.
The Pattern Repeats in Every Age
This pattern appears repeatedly in Scripture:
Compromise of the body
Confusion of the soul
Departure of the Spirit
Occupation by darkness
Desolation
It happened:
Before the Flood
In Sodom
In Jerusalem before Babylon
In the Temple before 70 AD
And many believe it is happening again in modern civilization.
💡 Key Insight
Defilement does not immediately destroy a people.
It empties them first.
Desolation is simply what remains after the presence of Yahuah has left the temple.
