The country of Greece is currently at the epicenter of the Eurozone budget crisis. They are in tremendous debt and have been getting bailouts from the Internantional Monetary Fund (which receives money from the U.S. government) and the E.C.B. The European Central Bank, which is Europe's version of the Federal Reserve Bank. U.S. Banks are heavily invested in Greek debt so if Greece defaults we could see another 2008 financial collapse here in America. This is why it is important for us to watch the goings on in Europe right now.
