Why sisters disrespect

Why sisters disrespect

Black men, myself included, are perplexed at the amount of disrespect many sisters give black men, especially black men who are fulfilling there obligations as men in the community. Why do you hate us so!!?

There are reasons that most people haven't addressed. I am going to play devils advocate here in order to accurately evaluate this phenomena.

Black women love security just like any other woman. She longs to have and raise children in a safe and loving environment, where her role as mother and housewife is honored. She also would like to work outside the home as well in many cases, but she does not want to feel like she HAS to work. However when she looks around  her community she feels anything but secure. Especially inner city black women who have little or no education. These women have very limited options for upward mobility and mate selection. Most of the men she encounters are on drugs , sell drugs, involved in some form of criminal activity that will lead to incarceration or death, or in some cases the men are just not available romantically do to marital status or sexual preference.

The black woman's world in 2012 is a world wrought with insecurity and instability. She may try to maintain her game face of the strong independent black woman but she is failing and her cape is falling off because of the weight. She looks around and sees her men abandoning her and her children and she is angry.

She looks and sees her neighborhood riddled in violence and crime and she is afraid for herself and her kids.

She sees that her options for government assistance are dwindling and this breeds more insecurity and fear. She gives her body to various brothers in hope that she can secure a romantic bond and is later told she is a hoe or a trick and then left to fend for herself

She looks throughout the black communities around this nation and the vast majority of them are rundown ghettos  She does not see her man taking the lead to clean things up and she is frustrated because she feels she is fighting alone.

Television and mass media fuels the disrespect further by constant bombardment of images of black men on television committing heinous and frivolous crimes on a regular basis. And then to top things off she is told she is too fat, too ugly, too loud, too whorish, and too hard to deal with. And the brothers go on too confirm this by dating and marrying white , Latina , and other women of different nationalities but not her.

The more upwardly mobile and educated black woman is disrespectful because of self delusion. She has the nice job, nice home and car. She states she wants black men but can't find one on her level. What she fails to fully grasp in many instances is that she is strategically placed in her position in order to help alienate her from her man. After a few years of working for corporate America the educated sister co-opts the value systems of capitalism. She only sees the end results of this corrupt capitalistic system when she receives her paycheck. She does not know nor does she even want to know in many instances how her boss the white man acquired the money he used to pay her salary.  She is happy to get a check from MASSA.

She does not understand that the plantation economies is still alive and well in 2012. She may even run across a brother on her job that is on an equal plane with her, but she may give him the cold shoulder for fear of  MASSA' s disapproval. This still exists in corporate America. Talented black men and women on the same job is often seen as threatening to the status quo and many companies punish the couple in various ways for trying to form a romantic bond while on company time. The black woman is keenly aware of this so she goes overboard in trying to give the brother a hard time ,in order to keep her boss's approval. This of course ruins her chances of having establishing a fruitful relationship. When this occurs the brother may decide to date a white woman instead and this further aggravates the situation.

The upwardly mobile sister does not see the upwardly mobile black man as a potential means of support. SHE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN HIM NO MATTER WHAT HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS. and because she does not believe in him she does not respect him. She has been trained to respect and believe in the American capitalistic system and in her mind that is represented by the WHITE MAN.

She still loves being on the plantation, IT IS MASSA THAT GIVES HER HER CHECK AND SO CALLED INDEPENDENCE. IT IS THE WHITE MAN THAT MAKES HER FEEL SECURE AND DEEP DOWN SHE HAS REVERENCE FOR HIM.

The bible says one cannot serve two masters and this is true, sisters reverence and respect Western White capitalism for better or worse. She therefore by default despises the man that Western White capitalism despises, the black man. It does not matter whether the sister makes six figures or is living in section 8 housing. The western white system will see to it that she receives money to take care of herself. Apart from the black man. She sees the black man as another field hand like herself not as her leader and definitely not the leader of the black nation.
