Loving vs Lovable
Men and women today all say they want love. we sing about it, dream about it , fight and kill for it, .....Die for it. Yet for many (myself included) Love is as elusive as trying to catch lightning in bottle. In this modern era love is more difficult to attain due to our culture of self centeredness and narcissism.
Too many of us today focus on trying too attract love to us, we try to draw it in like a magnet. we do things to try to reel it in like a fish on our hook. Yet we end up broken hearted and disappointed. No one is loving us despite our efforts to make ourselves as desirable as possible. Hair weave, makeup, lipstick, fake boobs, fake butts, face-lifts, steroids, Viagra, tattoos , testosterone injections, you name it if we think it will bring love our way we will attempt it. Young black men sagg their pants because they believe it would make some girl love them and give them sex. We all have fallen into the trap of being LOVABLE. We want to be desired and therefore loved yet achieving desirability is not the goal we should seek out.
What is needed is LOVING . Loving is an action verb, love EXPRESSES its desire outward toward the object that it delights in. Loving shares and is vulnerable to hurt. Yet it acts out anyway. Many of us think that if we have an impressive array of physical and material attributes than love will automatically come our way. Then we act shocked when it doesn't. this causes us to doubt our desirability and reduces our self esteem which in turn causes us to do things to make us MORE LOVABLE. We bench press 50 more pounds, we go from a c-cup to a d-cup, we buy longer weave, or a fancier car. Yet it still doesn't come our way.
Love Reflects Back to You.
The love that is instilled in a man's spirit is reflected back in proportion to what he gives to his wife or lover. If she is not resistant to it. She , like the church , has to be an open vessel willing to be filled up so that she is able to return the love of her man mingled with her own love which opens the door of delight in his heart, joy and security in her heart and leads to blessings from the most high. However many people with an un-renewed heart are subconsciously fearful of that kind of love. And many find ways to sabotage it, abuse it out of fear of losing it, abandon it so as to prevent themselves from being overwhelmed by it, or if they are truly wicked they try to destroy it.
This is why God commands us to not be unequally yoked with non believers because if they are not submitting to God's word and his will, then HIS love will be an abomination to him or her and that person will find ways to rid themselves of it , because this love is so powerful that it acts as a witness against them and pierces their conscious. It is the love that should lead the other party to repentance of evil. But many have deep fear of the intensity generated and they run away. Sort of like running from a raging fire even though it is under control like a bonfire , yet the fearful run anyway preferring the coldness of this evil world as opposed to the warmth that the fire of love would generate in their lives.
The love that you as an individual possesses generates energy. That energy goes out to all those you come in contact with and depending on the nature of the contact a response or reaction occurs on the recipient and they are affected by their contact with you even if they are not conscious of it. This contact occurs down to the bio molecular level, it penetrates your 7 chakras and alters your DNA like nuclear. Radiation would o if you are exposed to it in large amounts and / or long periods of time. This is why you can tell a happily married woman by looking on her countenance. Or children who are brought up in a LOVING home because their physiology reflects that.
True Love is akin to a High Mountain.
Many black people , myself included have a fear of heights, climbing Mt Everest is not on our wish list. Deep satisfying love is like a high mountain. And many of us are content to stay at the base, it may not be as exhilarating or satisfying as the summit would be , but it is SAFE and fearful people love safety in love relationships, I know this is true because I am one of those people. I'm working on that though.
My hair is kinky. I want to see kinky hair on my woman, I want her to reflect back to me who I am. The way the great I AM wants us to reflect HIS IMAGE OF LOVE BACK TO HIM.
This is why many parents love their children unconditionally because the children are a manifestation of their spiritual and physical essence. Our lives here on planet earth are an object lesson for mankind and a testimony to the universe . We are witnesses to all creation of the Loving character and holiness of the Most High.
Satan seeks to rid the world of true love.
Matthew 22:34-40 (KJV)
34[But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.]
35[Then one of them, ] which was[ a lawyer, asked ] him a question[, tempting him, and saying,]
36[Master, which ] is[ the great commandment in the law?]
37[Jesus said unto him, ] Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38This is the first and great commandment.
39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
What Christ is discussing here is the principle of reflection of God 's love disseminating into the world through his children and subduing the wickedness that seeks to dominate and destroy the earth and it's inhabitants.
One must pray for, fast for, and plead to God for his love and holiness to be poured out into the earth. We must yearn for the LATTER RAIN.
Joel 2:28-29 (KJV)
28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
Acts 2:17-18 (KJV)
17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
It is that spirit that Satan is at war with. That spirit is the holy spirit. The spirit of love.
Real love generates a desire to submit
Romans 2:4 (KJV)
4[Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?]
Romans 2:5-11 (KJV)
5[But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;]
6[Who will render to every man according to his deeds:]
7[To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:]
8[But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,]
9[Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;]
10[But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:]
11[For there is no respect of persons with God.]
The love and benevolence of God invokes surrender in the hearts of those who are not resistant to it's invocations. The love of a Godly righteous man will invoke a woman's feminine instinct to submit to his leadership If she is not resistant to it. If she allows his love to infuse in her spirit the two will become one flesh.
This is the process of love that subdues the earth in God's image. We are his vessels . Satan has corrupted man to the point that many of us are reflecting HIS (Satan) diabolical image. When true love between men and women is created, it generates an energy, a spiritual reaction is produced and Satan and his host seek it out in order to destroy it. The way wicked king Herod wanted to kill the Christ child at his birth. Love was born through the Son of God ,Yeshua. Herod, acting on behalf of Satan sought to murder him as a result. This same spirit was manifested in Cain when he slew righteous Abel. This same spirit is at work today.
