Being Lazy is Deadly

Being Lazy is Deadly

The Lord has shown me through his word that being lazy is not only sinful and impoverishing but it is also deadly. Proverbs 21:25-26 States this:

Proverbs 21:25-26 (KJV)
25The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

26[He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.]

How many young men and women in the hood stand around loitering in public areas, hanging out in front of stores, barbershops, beauty shops, liquor stores, etc. wasting time harassing and intimidating the patrons, and many of them eventually getting into altercations which lead to their deaths. When one is idle and prone to fits of rage, angry with a penchant for outbursts of violence and they hang out with other unfruitful and lazy men with weapons, guess what!! Somebody is getting hurt or killed.These men are usually plotting a way to get some fast cash, some quick money. They plot to rob or steal. And what usually happens is they get themselves or someone else hurt or killed in the process. LEGITIMATE WORK in many cases is not a viable option. They have not trained their minds or bodies to sustain the rigors and self discipline needed to maintain gainful employment and thus remove themselves from the other lazy unproductive element.

This puts these individuals in a constant survival of the fittest mode, a cunning conniving spirit incarnates into their mind and they only think of sin continually.

Their minds must be steered in another direction through their will and only with the help and will of God can they be re-made

Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The lazy brother, and sister as well, has become a national scourge. Their unwillingness to endure strenuous and long lasting forms of employment has turned them into individuals that only live for the moment. A people who have no vision of their future and will not make any preparation for it. They are the sluggards that are mentioned by God in scripture.

Proverbs 6:6-12 (KJV)
6Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

7[Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,]

8[Provideth her meat in the summer, ] and[ gathereth her food in the harvest.]

9[How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?]

10Yet[ a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:]

11[So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.]

Notice how verse 11 says " thy want as an armed man". This is how many lazy brothers have become. They rob in order to gain instead of work. They commit burglaries, armed robberies, strong arm intimidation and harassment, conning, begging, aggressive panhandling. Various areas of theft in order to satisfy their inordinate covetousness for things they PERCEIVE as out of their reach. They use institutional racism as their crutch in order to justify these acts., and of course many of these men and increasingly women meet their DEMISE do to this corrosive state of mind. "Laziness Kills"!!!
