DECEPTION #1: "ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED"

A Dangerous Half-Truth That Breeds Lukewarm Religion

“Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.”Matthew 7:21

⚠️ A False Comfort for a Sleeping Church

In pulpits across America—especially in African-American congregations—the following phrase is repeated like a sacred formula:

“All you have to do is believe and confess in the name of Jesus, and you are saved.”

That statement contains truth—but it is not the whole truth. And half-truths, when repeated long enough, become spiritual poison.

This doctrine has lured millions into a slumber of complacency. Satan, the master of subtlety, knows the carnal heart prefers ease over endurance, and pleasure over perseverance. So he packages salvation like a one-time event, a simple transaction, instead of what it truly is—a covenant walk, a lifelong obedience, and a cross to bear.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate… because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”Matthew 7:13–14

📉 Salvation as Entitlement: A Cultural Crisis

We, the descendants of enslaved Africans, have suffered much. But suffering alone does not make us holy. Oppression alone does not earn us heaven. Somewhere along the line, we began to believe that because we endured chains, Jim Crow, and redlining, we are owed eternal life.

We have mistaken historical pain for spiritual purity, and cultural trauma for covenant faithfulness. But YAHUAH does not grade salvation on a racial curve. The blood of Yahusha is not a participation trophy—it is a covenant that demands response, repentance, and righteousness.

“And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?”1 Peter 4:18

🪞 A Hard Look at Black Church Complacency

Let’s tell the truth.

We “go to church” faithfully.
We shout, we dance, we cry.
We wear our best suits and hats.
We sing about being “blessed and highly favored.”

But many of us live like spiritual freeloaders—consuming sermons without transformation, quoting scriptures without submission, claiming blessings while ignoring commandments.

And when rebuke comes, we hide behind our social victories:

“We came out of slavery!”
“We marched with Dr. King!”
“We have jobs, houses, and college degrees!”

Yet the question remains: Are we walking in obedience to YAHUAH?

“Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”James 1:22

💰 Manifestation vs. Salvation: A Shift in Priorities

Our pulpits have been hijacked.

What once was a platform for repentance, righteousness, and reverence, has become a stage for prosperity, popularity, and performance. The message has shifted from:

“Repent, for the Kingdom is at hand”
to
“Manifest your breakthrough!”

We are no longer preparing souls for eternity—we’re preparing wallets for the next business deal. We’ve traded the anointing of the Spirit for the applause of men, and the glory of YAH for the gold of Babylon.

This is the message of a compromised church—a lukewarm, flesh-pleasing gospel that comforts the wicked and offends the holy.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine… but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.”2 Timothy 4:3

👁️‍🗨️ Our Children Are Watching

The youth are not blind.

They see the contradiction. They see us praising in church and cussing in the parking lot. They see us quoting scripture on Facebook while living in fornication and unforgiveness.

So they have made their decision:

“If this is Christianity, I want no part of it.”

And in a strange twist of irony, their coldness may be more honest than our lukewarmness.

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot… So then because thou art lukewarm… I will spew thee out of My mouth.”Revelation 3:15–16

Yahusha would rather you be cold—honestly lost—than pretend to be found while walking in rebellion.

🛑 Stop Calling Him “Lord” and Ignoring His Commands

“And why call ye Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”Luke 6:46

The deception of “Once Saved, Always Saved” allows people to call Yahusha their “Lord” while living like their own god.

But salvation is not a magical incantation. It’s not a one-time prayer. It’s a lifelong surrender.

Paul—the apostle of grace—understood this. That’s why he wrote:

“I die daily.”1 Corinthians 15:31

Not weekly.
Not monthly.
Daily.

🛡️ The Call to Repentance and Endurance

We are not just saved from something—we are saved for something: to walk in holiness, to bear fruit, and to glorify the Father.

“He that endures to the end shall be saved.”Matthew 24:13

This means our salvation is not sealed by a moment—but by a lifestyle of obedience. Not works-based salvation, but salvation that works.

So let us return.

Let us preach again the full gospel—the gospel that calls for repentance, rebirth, holiness, and covenant.

Let us weep again between the porch and the altar.

Let us trade in our lukewarm religion for the fire of true devotion.

“Let every man that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”2 Timothy 2:19

DOES THIS BREED LAWLESSNESS?

ChatGPT said:

Yes.
The doctrine of “Once Saved, Always Saved”—when misapplied—absolutely breeds lawlessness. Here’s why:

🔥 WHAT IS LAWLESSNESS?

“Sin is the transgression of the law.”1 John 3:4

“The mystery of lawlessness is already at work…”2 Thessalonians 2:7

Lawlessness (Greek: anomia) means to live as if YAHUAH’s commands no longer apply—to be governed by flesh, emotion, or cultural trends rather than by the Word of YAH.

❌ HOW “ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED” BREEDS LAWLESSNESS

1. It Removes Fear of Judgment

If salvation is a one-time act with no consequences for ongoing sin, why repent? Why strive for holiness?

“Let no man deceive you… he that doeth righteousness is righteous.”1 John 3:7

This doctrine teaches people to trust in a past confession while continuing in present rebellion.

2. It Replaces Obedience With Entitlement

People begin to think:

“Since I confessed Jesus, I can do what I want. I’m already forgiven.”

This turns grace into a license to sin, exactly what Jude warned against:

“Certain men crept in… turning the grace of God into lasciviousness.”Jude 1:4

3. It Discourages Holiness and Endurance

YAHUSHA said:

“He that endures to the end shall be saved.”Matthew 24:13

The “once saved” mindset makes people believe they’ve already arrived, so they stop running the race. They become passive, complacent, and lukewarm.

4. It Enables Hypocrisy

People who think they’re eternally secure no matter what they do are more likely to excuse sin:

  • “It’s just a mistake.”

  • “God knows my heart.”

  • “Nobody’s perfect.”

But Yahusha warned:

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”John 14:15

5. It Is the Spirit of Antichrist

“That Wicked (lawless one) shall be revealed… whose coming is after the working of Satan…”2 Thessalonians 2:8–9

The spirit of antichrist is not just atheism or Satan worship—it is lawlessness disguised as grace, rebellion wrapped in religion.

📜 WHAT TRUE SALVATION LOOKS LIKE

  • Repentance: Turning away from sin (Acts 3:19)

  • Faith: Trusting Yahusha as Savior and King (Romans 10:9)

  • Obedience: Walking in His commandments (John 15:10)

  • Endurance: Staying faithful until the end (Hebrews 10:26–27)

✅ CONCLUSION: GRACE IS NOT LAWLESSNESS

“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”Romans 3:31

Salvation is a gift—but it demands a response. It is not freedom to sin; it is freedom from sin. The idea that one can live like the world and still inherit the Kingdom is the very deception Yahusha warned about.

“Depart from Me, ye that work iniquity (lawlessness)…”Matthew 7:23
